Day 1: Cusco – Puno
You will be pick up from your hotel around 7:15pm to start the once-in-a-lifetime adventure for approximately 10 hours. At the start of the journey, you are welcomed at the Wanchaq Station in Cusco where local musicians will provide background music as you board the train. Once aboard, you can enjoy the two dining cars decorated in the style of the Pullman cars of the 1920s. The open-air observation Car is a dream for photographers’ keen to capture the quintessential panoramas. The route covered by the Peru Rail Titicaca train is considered by many travel magazines to be one of the most beautiful in the world. Also, during the trip, you will have the finest in gourmet food and indulgent afternoon tea.

Day 2: Lake Titicaca – Uros & Amantani Islands
We will pick you up from your hotel around 7:45 am, transfer you to the pier and take the motor boat towards our first adventure, The Uros floating islands. We will have the opportunity to walk on the reed islands and interact with the natives. Some of the Uros islands are only 20 meters in length. After that we will have a wonderful 3-hour boat ride to get to Amantani Island, where we will spend the rest of the day and night. Upon arrival, a group of native families will meet us at the pier and take us to their homes for lodging and lunch.
In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4,150 meters) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people. There are stunning views of the Lake from this lookout point and an amazing sunset. Soon after nightfall, we descend to the main plaza and meet our local family, and we go back to home for dinner. Food and authentic music prepared and performed by your designated family. Overnight at family house.

Day 3: Taquile Island – Puno
After breakfast, we walk down to the harbor to take the boat towards Taquile Island (approximately a 1-hour trip), where we will walk up along a narrow path, enjoying on the way impressive views of Lake Titicaca. Taquile is a traditional Quechua speaking community, and full of ancient agricultural terraces. The weaving tradition is part of the culture and goes back to early civilizations; all weaving is done by hand. They are world famous for their intricate and fascinating weaving, and here they make and sell many samples of their work. At the village, there is free time to explore around on your own, and you have a chance for lunch at one local restaurant (not included). After lunch, we take the return trip to Puno,
